Modern Slavery Policy.

Our commitment to identifying and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across our business.

Last reviewed: 17 June 2026

Amarval Partners Ltd is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to identifying and preventing modern slavery and human trafficking wherever it might occur in our business or supply chains. This policy sets out our approach, in line with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and the standards expected of members of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).

Amarval's turnover is currently below the £36m threshold at which UK law requires an annual Modern Slavery Act transparency statement. We publish this policy voluntarily, because we believe recruiters carry a particular responsibility to protect the people they place into work.

1. Our business

Amarval is a recruitment partnership operating across Education, Flex & Space, and Executive Search, connecting candidates with employers across the UK through a network of self-employed Partners. We don't operate factories or own complex physical supply chains; our primary relationships are with the candidates we represent, the clients we work with, and the Partners who run their own practices under the Amarval umbrella.

2. Our commitment

We never charge candidates a fee to register, be represented, or be placed into work.
We carry out right-to-work checks before any candidate is placed.
We expect every Partner and employee to report any concern about exploitation, coercion, or unsafe working conditions, without fear of reprisal.
We choose to work with clients and suppliers who share our commitment to lawful, ethical employment practices.

3. Due diligence

Before we place a candidate, we take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that the role and the employer are genuine, and that the candidate understands the terms being offered. Where we become aware of a risk — for example unusually high fees being asked of a worker, restricted freedom of movement, or pay below the National Minimum Wage — we will not proceed with the placement, and will report the concern as set out in Section 6.

4. Recruitment practices

All our Partners operate under the same standards: clear terms of engagement, no recruitment fees charged to candidates, and verification of identity and right to work before a placement is confirmed. As a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation, we follow the REC's Code of Professional Practice, which sets ethical standards for the recruitment industry.

5. Training and awareness

Partners and staff involved in candidate or client-facing work are made aware of the signs of modern slavery and forced labour, and know how to raise a concern.

6. Raising a concern

If you're a candidate, client, or member of the public with a concern about modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Amarval or any role we've been involved in, contact us in confidence at [email protected]. You can also report concerns to the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 0800 0121 700, run independently by the anti-slavery charity Unseen, or via modernslavery.gov.uk.

7. Responsible person & review

This policy is owned by Amarval's leadership team and is reviewed annually, or sooner if our business changes in a way that affects the risks described here.
