How we collect, use and protect the personal data of candidates, clients and recruiter-partners.

Last updated: 17 June 2026

Amarval Partners Ltd ("Amarval", "we", "our", "us") is a recruitment partnership working across Education, Flex & Space, and Executive Search. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you register your interest as a candidate, get in touch as a client, or apply to join us as a recruiter-partner — and how we collect, use, share, store and protect it, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are

Amarval Partners Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. We're registered in England & Wales, company number 13431440, with our registered office at 330 High Holborn, London, WC1V 7QH. For any question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at [email protected] or 0203 862 9263.

2. The data we collect

What we collect depends on how you come to us:

Candidates (via /apply/): your name, email and/or phone number, the type of role you're looking for, how you heard about us, and anything else you choose to share with a Partner once a conversation begins — for example a CV, work history, or right-to-work status.
Clients (via /hire/): your organisation's name, your name, work email, phone number, and details of the roles you're looking to fill.
Recruiter-partners (via /join/): your name, contact details, sector and professional background, and anything you share with us during a partnership conversation.
Everyone: limited technical data processed by Cloudflare Turnstile to confirm you're not a bot when you submit a form on this site.

We don't collect special category data (such as health, religion or ethnicity) through this website. If that information becomes relevant later in a placement process — for instance equality monitoring requested by a client, or right-to-work documentation — we'll explain why we need it and how it's protected at that point.

3. How we use your data

to respond to your enquiry and have an informed first conversation;
to match candidates with the Partner whose sector and network is the best fit;
to progress a placement or partnership, where you've asked us to;
to meet our obligations under recruitment sector regulation, including the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003;
to send you relevant opportunities or updates, but only where you've agreed to this — we won't add you to a marketing list without your consent.

Our legal basis for most of this is legitimate interest — responding to your enquiry and pursuing the relationship you've initiated — or, where you've registered as a candidate or client, the steps needed to perform an agreement you've asked us to take. Where we send marketing communications, we rely on your consent.

4. Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data, and we don't pass your details to third parties for their own marketing. We may share your information with:

the Amarval Partner best placed to help you, internally;
a prospective employer or client, but only as part of a placement you've asked us to pursue, and only with your knowledge;
service providers who help us run the site and process enquiries securely — for example Cloudflare, who provide the bot-protection on our forms and our website hosting.

Any third party who processes data on our behalf is required to protect it to at least the same standard we do.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as it's needed for the purpose you gave it to us — typically for the duration of an active search or placement conversation, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch or a suitable role comes up. If you'd like us to delete your details sooner, just ask — see Section 7.

6. Cookies and similar technology

This site doesn't use analytics or advertising cookies. The only technology of this kind in use is Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs, which runs on our enquiry forms to filter out automated spam. Turnstile may process limited technical information (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) to confirm you're a genuine visitor — it doesn't track you for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you;
ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate;
ask us to delete it, or restrict how we use it;
object to how we're using it;
ask for a copy in a portable format;
withdraw consent at any time, where we're relying on it.

To exercise any of these, contact us at [email protected]. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Keeping your data secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data we hold, including access-controlled systems and encrypted transmission of data submitted through this site.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example as our services or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
